The Office
Head Office in Great Brak River
The practice is based in Great Brak River, where services are managed by Bennie Cilliers. Bennie earned his B.Arch. degree in 1988 and is a registered member of both the Council and Institute of South African Architects. With decades of experience, he has worked with developers, institutions, government bodies, provincial administrations, and the private sector, building a trusted reputation.

Revolutionizing Mobile Design
His career took a bold step forward with an award-winning design for Jurgens CI’s most luxurious caravan, which opened the door to even more mobile design innovations. Soon after, Bennie introduced the Nayela Multi-Purpose Trailvan and the versatile HB-2 horse box range—both met with overwhelming public enthusiasm.
The Birth of the Nayela Okapi
The growing demand for something truly exceptional led to the creation of the renowned Nayela Okapi. With its sleek aerodynamic shape, effortless towing, and array of luxury features, the Okapi quickly became one of the industry’s most sought-after caravans. At its debut at the National Outdoor Show at Gallagher Estate, it was judged the Best Innovative Design Concept.
Pioneering Modular Living
Bennie’s appetite for new challenges continued when Space-Ace commissioned him to rethink mobile container spaces. His inventive interlocking design system, built from durable, cost-effective materials, made it possible to create anything from single stand-alone units to large modular setups for homes and shops.

Beyond design, Bennie is a hands-on craftsman. Whether working in mechanics, joinery, or steelwork, he brings his ideas to life with precision and passion.
A Passion for Photography
His creativity extends into photography, where his love for wildlife and action sports has earned him numerous awards from the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA)—including the prestigious 5-Star Photography rating.
